چکیده
Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS) are malignant tumours arising from mesenchymal tissue, comprising <1% of all the human body and represent second most common type solid in children adolescents. Surgical resection is considered mainstay treatment, supported by multimodal therapies including chemotherapy radiotherapy. Resource-limited countries, like Pakistan, face additional challenges due to inadequate resources. This study presents experience management soft presenting a tertiary care hospital Central Lahore.
Patients Methods: was an observational conducted Unit I Sir Ganga Ram Hospital Lahore January 2017 till June 2022. American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system Fédération Nationale des Centres de Lutte Contre le (FNCLCC) classification applied. treatment R0, R1 R2 resections were carried out. SPSS 23 version used for statistical analysis collected data.
 Results: A total 36 patients; 24 male (66.7%) 12 females (33.3%) included. Anatomical site involvement observed as (63.8%) limb 13 (36.1%) trunk sarcomas. Out patients, 20 (55.6%) patients staged stage II, 11 (30.5%) III 5 (13.9%) I. Total 17 (47.2%) underwent wide excision, limited 4 (11.1%) compartmental excision 2 (5.6%) palliative excision.
Conclusion: Thigh commonest extremity Retroperitoneal frequent among tumours. Leiomyosarcoma histopathological diagnosis followed peripheral nerve sheath Most presented with II disease.

Adult distal humeral metaphyseal fractures: epidemiology and results of treatment.
OBJECTIVES To examine the epidemiology and results of treatment of fractures of the distal humeral metaphysis. DESIGN Observational cohort study. SETTING An orthopaedic trauma unit, which provides all the fracture care for a well-defined catchment population. PATIENTS/PARTICIPANTS A consecutive series of 320 patients with distal humeral fractures admitted to the unit between January 1988 ...
متن کاملFlexible intramedullary nailing had better outcomes than kirschner wire fixation in children with distal humeral metaphyseal-diaphyseal junction fracture: a retrospective observational analysis.
The effectiveness evaluation of flexible intramedullary nailing (FIN) and kirschner wire fixation (K-wire) used for MDJ fractures fixation have been described in multiple reports. But there have been few reports about comparison between FIN and K-wire in children with distal humeral MDJ fracture. In our retrospective study, Nineteen children received K-wire and twenty children received FIN, dur...
متن کاملComparison of close reduction and percutaneous pin fixation as treatments for distal metaphyseal radius fractures
Background: Distal radius fractures are one of the most common fractures of skeletal system and because of the aging of population, its incidence is rising. The aim of the present research was to evaluate the close reduction and percutaneous pin fixation as a treatment option. Material and methods: 44 patients who were type 2 according to universal classification or type 2 or 3 according to Ol...
متن کاملTreatment of distal radial fractures with antegrade intra-medullary Kirschner wires
The treatment of unstable Colles-type distal radial fractures remains a challenge. A prospective study was conducted to evaluate the outcomes of the treatment of unstable distal radial fractures using antegrade intra-medullary K-wires. Twenty-eight Colles-type distal radial fractures were selected excluding comminuted intra-articular and Barton's fractures. The blunt tips of intra-medullary K-w...
متن کاملEarly correction of paediatric malunited distal metaphyseal radius fractures using percutaneous callus osteoclasis ("Calloclasis").
INTRODUCTION Closed reduction of secondary displacements of distal metaphyseal radius fractures is an easy procedure only when performed within the first ten to fifteen days post-trauma, prior to the occurrence of malunion. When a hard bony callus prevents proper reduction, an open osteotomy is generally advocated. HYPOTHESIS We suggest the use of a less invasive technique which aims at corre...
